Servicing Options / Charges 

Our staff are fully qualified by Wintersteiger and have a vast experience with all things technical. We will try to offer the best possible advice and service with any problems you may aquire with your hardwear.

 

Hot Wax - £12.00

A hot wax is applied evenly to the ski. The excess wax is then scraped off. A structure is then applied using a nylon brush. The ski/board is then polished using a finishing cork.

Top Sheet Repair - From £10.00

If an unsuspecting skier has run over your ski or board in a lift que, or at high speed on the slopes and sliced your top sheet and left a flap or hole, fear not it can be repaired. Often, it is cosmetic, but we like to keep our gear in good shape, so we can fix this with resin and clamps.

Delamination - From £10.00

Generally happens on a sandwich construction of a board, a delamination occurs between the steel rail and the sidewall of the board, this will need clamping and gluing/resin back together. 

Base Patch - From £10.00

If the hole in the base of your ski/board is to big to be filled with P-Tex or is too close to the edge of the board/ski then a patch of base material will need to be cut and stuck into the hole that will be cut to the same shape. Price is per patch

Base Grind - £10.00

If your board has a lot of scratches or needs a freshen up, we can run it through our machine which will take a top layer of the base off and leave it looking a lot fresher!

Ski Wax & Edge - £25.00

Consists of a hot wax, but also includes the restoration of the ski edge. The edge, is machine ground to a chosen angle, between 80 and 90 degrees, to give maximum edge hold; this process also cleans the edge from any rust and removes any dings or scrapes.

Snowboard Wax & Edge - £22.00

Consists of a hot wax, but also includes the restoration of the board edge. The edge, is machine ground to a chosen angle, between 80 and 90 degrees, to give maximum edge hold; this process also cleans the edge from any rust and removes any dings or scrapes.

Ski Full Service - £45.00

This includes all the above processes, but also consists of any base or top sheet repairs necessary. Longevity of the base repair is ensured by the use of our Rocafix EG316 P-Tex gun that melts the P-Tex at extremely high temperature. Additionally our water cooled sanding machine can be used if there are multiple base blemishes to remove. If the base damage is severe enough to go through to the core then Patches will be used to ensure a long lasting repair.

Snowboard Full Service - £45.00

This includes all the above processes, but also consists of any base or top sheet repairs necessary. Longevity of the base repair is ensured by the use of our Rocafix EG316 P-Tex gun that melts the P-Tex at extremely high temperature. If the base damage is severe enough to go through to the core then Patches will be used to ensure a long lasting repair.

Edge Repair - From £10.00

Delaminated or 'blown out' edges are repaired or replaced on the discretion of the technician.

Blank Ski Binding Mount - £45.00

If you have a ski that has no ‘track’ and the bindings need to be drilled on to the ski to attach them. We have a numerous number of jigs and drill bits to allow us to drill the ski and attach the bindings. We will then adjust the binding to fit the boot and make sure the binding has the correct din setting ( see Din setting adjustment) Please note – to avoid disappointment if you do not have the following make of binding please call us to check if we can mount them, to avoid any disappointment ring us to check anyway. 

Binding jigs in stock: Salomon, Head (Tyrolia), Rossignol, Look, Marker, Atomic.

This service is free if the Skis are bought in store from us.

Binding Adjustment - £20.00

Adjust bindings to new boot, calculate release setting and set bindings correctly - redrill not necessary.

If you have bought new boots or are changing skis and the skis use a fast track binding. We can adjust the binding to fit your ski boots and do a din setting adjustment (see above) at the same time.

Binding Mount (fast track) + Din Adjustment - £35.00

If you have a new pair of skis on a fast track plate we will mount the new bindings onto the ski, adjust the length to fit your boot and adjust the din setting to the correct setting for you.

Liner Mould - £20.00

Most liners in ski and snowboard boots are heat reactive giving them thermal moulding properties, with the equipment in the shop we can mould these liners to give you, a customised, perfect fit around your foot and leg! 

This service is free if the Boots are bought in store from us.

DIN Setting Adjustment - £10.00

We will adjust the release setting on your ski binding to your current ability level and weight height and age. Ensuring the bindings release at the right moment if you take a fall. 

This service is free if the Skis or Boots are bought in store from us.

Custom Shell - £60.00

A process developed by Salomon and atomic, where the shell of the boot is heated up in a specifically designed ski boot oven and the shell becomes mouldable around your fore foot so the shell can expand to fit the size of your forefoot. Therefore giving the skier a completely perfect precision fit. 

This process will work with any boot with Salomon custom shell or Atomic Memory Fit.

Boot Stretch - £20.00

If you are experiencing pain or discomfort from your boots, you might consider having them stretched. This involves heating the boot up and stretching it with a specialist bit of equipment in the specific area that is causing you discomfort. 

This can alter the aesthetics of the boots. We also see this process as a last resort, our boot fitters have various techniques to alter the boot before going to a boot stretch.

Binding Transfer - £50.00

If we need to take your old binding off a ski and replace it with a different binding, we will need to take the old binding off, fill the old holes, and drill new ones this will take a little extra work. Once all the old holes are filled and new holes drilled to fit the new binding we will adjust the binding to fit your boots and ensure you have the correct din setting.
