Vango Shockcord 2.5mm Black

An elastic shockcord covered with polyester nylon. Can be used to replace most elastic 'strings' found in flexible tent poles. For replacing damaged or worn out shockcord. Ideal for very large diameter poles.


To replace the 'string', take off both of the outer pole ends(these normally secure the end of the string elastic with a knot) . Thread the new elastic into the length of poles, first securing one end. As you get towards the other end you will need to strecth the elastic shockcord to pull it through and to give the tension required. A second 'hend' can be helpful to hold the cord in tension at this stage. When pulled through and under tension,enough to pull the poles together, then knot off the end and cut it back to secure it into the end cap. Call us if you have difficulty for our advice.
