Outdoor Revolution Electric Eco Heater Review
We did't expect much from this small heater but boy were we wrong!
The Electric Eco Heater features a neat, compact cylindrical design more reminiscent of a bluetooth speaker than heater. Standing at just 22cm and a width of 14cm it weighs 1.35kg which is lightweight but heavy enough to not be knocked over too easily. The plastics and mesh front panel feel well made and the buttons and switches have a decisive click when pressed.
On turning on the heater (via a 240v mains connection) there are 3 Blue LED's that tell you the heater is on the fan only setting. The LED's themselves are sleek and minimalist and are a clear indicator of the current mode. 1-3 Red LED's the heat output setting and a modern digital control panel on the top of the heater displays current temperature and the desired temperature when the + and - buttons on top of the unit are pressed. On higher settings the heater really belts it out and while we have not tried it in a cold tent we are confident it could easily provide a comfortable environment on all but the coldest of evenings. There is also 70° of oscillation that spreads the heating/cooling across a larger area.
Safety features include a "Automatic Overheat Protection", "Cut Out Safety Trip Switch" if accidentily knocked over and "Integrated Timer Function" so the heater can switch itself off after the timer has expired.
The Electric Eco Heater is currently just £38.99 (down from £49.99) and would be an valuable peice of camping kit for early or late summer camping trips.
